Training and e-Learning Specialist

At IPS Innovative Prison Systems and ICJS Innovative Criminal Justice Solutions Inc., we are looking for a Training and e-Learning Specialist to enhance the competencies of individuals (our employees and professionals in the corrections’ sector) by designing and conducting training and e-learning courses.

You will be responsible for performing training needs assessments, designing, and delivering curriculum and learning materials and for managing all phases of training interventions.

Function description:

  • Identify training needs (knowledge, skills, competencies) using different state of the art methods;
  • Translate requirements into training;
  • Build training programmes and prepare learning plans;
  • Develop or oversee the production of learning and e-learning materials (handouts, instructional materials, aids and manuals);
  • Direct structured learning experiences and monitor their quality results;
  • Manage and deliver training courses;
  • Manage and deliver e-learning content and courses through our online academy (see Corrections Learning Academy);
  • Assess training and learning effectiveness;
  • Periodically evaluate ongoing programmes;
  • Stay abreast of the new trends and learning tools.

Requirements:

  • BSc, MA or MSc degree in Social Sciences, Education, Training, HR or a related field;
  • Proven experience in designing multiple training events in a corporate setting;
  • Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and learning principles;
  • Proven ability to master the full training cycle;
  • Adequate knowledge of learning management software;
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques;
  • Ability to conduct a cost-benefit analysis and calculate training ROI;
  • Sound decision making and organisational skills;
  • Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences;
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office tools;
  • Have sound planning and problem-solving skills;
  • Be autonomous and organised;
  • Be proactive;
  • Be flexible and have a high sense of responsibility;
  • Good teamwork skills;
  • Have good knowledge of English.

Working hours: Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm

Location: Lisbon or Covilhã.
