Using art to engage and empower youth in combating human trafficking through education, creativity, and collaboration

FUTURE-ART merges the power of art with the urgency to mitigate human trafficking. Utilising art to engage, educate, and empower youth, the project promises to build safer communities, encourage active citizenship, and instil a conscious understanding of combating this international problem.

Through artistic expression – from visual arts to performance – FUTURE-ART will engage, educate, and empower youth, fostering a deep, introspective understanding of human trafficking as a transnational challenge, to inspire a new generation of advocates for change. By prioritising the role of young people in combating human trafficking, FUTURE-ART will integrate advanced digital platforms with artistic educational approaches. Art will be a dynamic tool to enhance awareness and provide healing for trafficking survivors.

FUTURE-ART fosters collaboration among researchers, youth, artists, and policymakers to integrate artistic perspectives and policy insights into youth work. This synergy ensures that FUTURE-ART activities are evidence-based and creatively aligned with current policy frameworks, thereby enhancing their effectiveness and relevance.
