CCJ4C – European Career Counselling Guidelines for Staff Working in Criminal Correctional Justice System has been granted funding by Erasmus+ programme: KA3: Support for policy reform – Initiatives for policy innovation European forward-looking cooperation projects in the field of education and training
CCJ4C is a project that arises from the lack of professional guidance within prison systems in the EU, especially one with an innovative approach. And that occurs despite the fact that correctional services have undergone a massive process of change over the last decades.
Thus, the CCJ4C project seeks to analyse the process of cultural change in correctional settings, reflecting on the career of staff and the support provided to prisoners. Moreover, this project seeks to find out to what extent there is an ideal approach to developing career management skills of prison staff and, as far as it can be developed, to identify the elements of this model that translate into a change in public policy.
CCJ4C project is led by CPIP – Center for the Promotion of Lifelong Learning, Romania, and it involves partners from many other European countries, namely IPS_Innovative Prison Systems (Qualify Just IT solutions and Consulting) from Portugal, Timisoara prison (Romania), Bremen Senate of Justice and Constitution (Germany), General Directorate of Prisons and Detention Houses (Turkey), National Trade Union of Prison Workers (SNLP), from Romania, General Workers’ Union (Malta), the Baltic Institute of Technological Education (Lithuania),ICPA – International Corrections & Prisons Association (The Netherlands), York Associates (United Kingdom), and Bagreeva Consulting Services, Norway.
