Beatriz Martins

Beatriz Martins holds an LL.M. in Globalisation and Law with a specialization in Human Rights from Maastricht University (The Netherlands), and a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Lisbon, Portugal. With a robust background in Human Rights Law, Beatriz has gained extensive experience in this field.

She has served as a European Advocacy Intern for Americans for Democracy and Human Rights in Bahrain (ADHRB) and worked as a Legal Adviser and Advocacy Officer for Project NO BORDER at Associação CRESCER, focusing on refugees and asylum seekers in Lisbon.

At IPS, Beatriz is a Junior Consultant & Researcher where she contributes to the International Judicial Cooperation & Human Rights portfolio.
