Tiago Leitão has a social work degree and a Master of Business Administration from The Lisbon MBA.
Tiago Leitão has been involved in social entrepreneurship and innovation since 1998, counting with more than 20 years of experience in management, consultancy, social innovation and reintegration, and knowledge transference.
He also owns expertise in policy and strategy, namely in the social economy, prison work, reintegration, social dialogue, training and volunteering areas. He has been working in the development and implementation of criminal justice-related projects since 2003: from concept, design, prototyping and their introduction in mainstream.
In IPS was the developer, manager or consultant of awarded good practice projects such as: IDECOM, ECOPRIS. He is also a senior manager and consultant in more than other 20 concepts awarded with funding and as good practices. These include IPS, Aproximar, and EaSI, in the fields of criminal justice systems, social economy and entrepreneurship, social dialogue, employability, active ageing, education, training, and mentoring.
He has been engaged in intense international work, mostly in Europe, but also worldwide as speaker and presenter, in different areas of knowledge, collaborating in different networks and in the organisation of events, research, and publications.
In addition to his work with IPS, Tiago is the CEO of APROXIMAR, a Social Innovation Hub and the CEO at EaSI, the European Association of Social Innovation.
