Product team responsibilities

Product Development

Design, develop, and refine digital products such as the HORUS 360º iOMS Offender Management System.

User Research

Conduct user research to understand client needs and incorporate feedback into product development.

Product Roadmap

Define and manage the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with company goals and client expectations.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Manager to join our criminal justice digital transformation team. The successful candidate will focus on developing and managing offender management solutions, utilizing cutting-edge technologies including artificial intelligence (AI). This role requires a deep understanding of the criminal justice system, the ability to manage product lifecycles, and the capability to drive innovative solutions from conception through to market release.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy and Vision

Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy for offender management solutions in alignment with company goals and market needs.

Market Research and Analysis

Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape. Use this information to guide product development and positioning.

Product Development

Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation, development, testing, and launch. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and marketing, to deliver high-quality products on time.

Stakeholder Management

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including correctional facility administrators, legal experts, and technology partners, to ensure product relevance and efficacy.

AI Integration

Leverage knowledge of AI to integrate advanced technologies into offender management solutions, ensuring ethical and effective implementation.

Project Management

Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure successful product launches.

User Experience (UX)

Prioritize user experience and ensure products are user-friendly, secure, and effective in real-world correctional environments.

Compliance and Ethics

Ensure all products comply with relevant legal and ethical standards, particularly in the context of AI and data privacy.

Qualifications

Education

Master’s degree in business administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

Minimum of 5 years of product management experience, with at least 2 years in the criminal justice or public safety sector.

Technical Skills

Strong understanding of technology, AI technologies and their applications in criminal justice. Familiarity with software development processes and agile methodologies.

Analytical Skills

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Experience with data analysis and using insights to drive product decisions.

Communication Skills

Superior written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to various stakeholders.

Leadership

Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Ethical Judgment

Strong understanding of ethical considerations in the use of AI and data within the criminal justice system.

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications

Certified Product Manager (CPM) or similar credentials.

Domain Expertise

In-depth knowledge of offender management systems, criminal justice procedures, and correctional facility operations.

Innovation

Track record of developing innovative solutions in a regulated environment.

Languages

English proficiency. Portuguese, Spanish and French are desirable.
