Technical team responsibilities

Software Development

Write and maintain code for digital products, ensuring functionality and performance.

System Integration

Integrate various systems and applications, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability.

Infrastructure Management

Oversee the cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and availability.

DevOps Practices

Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines, automate workflows, and ensure efficient deployment processes.

UI/UX Design

Create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces, ensuring a seamless user experience.

Quality Assurance

Test and validate products to ensure they meet quality standards and are free of defects.

Technical Support

Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting for development and integration challenges.

Job Description

We are seeking a creative and skilled UX/UI Designer to join our Criminal Justice Digital Transformation Team. This professional will focus on designing user-centric interfaces and experiences for the HORUS 360iOMS Offender Management System. The UX/UI Designer will play a crucial role in ensuring that our digital products are intuitive, accessible, and aesthetically pleasing.

Key Responsibilities

User Research

Conduct user research and gather insights to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points. Utilize these insights to inform design decisions.

Wireframing and Prototyping

Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to visualize design concepts. Ensure designs align with user requirements and project goals.

UI Design

Design user interfaces that are visually appealing, intuitive, and consistent with the overall brand. Utilize design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.

UX Design

Develop user flows, sitemaps, and interaction models to enhance the user experience. Ensure designs are user-centric and accessible.

Usability Testing

Conduct usability testing to gather feedback and iterate on designs. Identify areas for improvement and refine designs based on user feedback.

Collaboration

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other stakeholders, to ensure cohesive and integrated design solutions.

Design Guidelines

Develop and maintain design guidelines and style guides to ensure consistency across all digital products. Ensure adherence to best practices and industry standards.

Continuous Improvement

Stay updated with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies. Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the user experience and design quality.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Usability Analyst, UX Design Certification) are highly advantageous.

Experience

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in UI/UX design, with a focus on designing web and mobile applications. Proven experience with user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing. Experience in the criminal justice sector or similar regulated environments is desirable.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar. Strong knowledge of design principles, user-centered design methodologies, and accessibility standards. Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.

Soft Skills

Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong project management skills and attention to detail.

Languages

English proficiency. Portuguese, Spanish and French are desirable.
