Carolina Nogueira

Carolina Nogueira holds a Master’s in Criminal Law and a Bachelor’s degree in Law, both from the University of Lisbon. Her Master’s thesis focused on the resocialisation dimension in the Portuguese prison system, for which she did an internship at Lisbon’s Supervisory Court (Tribunal de Execução de Penas de Lisboa), gaining a comprehensive understanding of the system. Carolina is also a volunteer at Reshape, where she supports the advocacy team by conducting research on the various legal frameworks of prison systems.
In 2019, she worked as an intern at the Directorate-General for External Policy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Portugal, within the European Political Affairs Division. Previously, Carolina served as a Sustainability Consultant.
At IPS, she works as a Justice Consultant, where she contributes to the International Judicial Cooperation & Human Rights portfolio.
