Promoting awareness and prevention strategies around the dynamics and behaviours of radicalisation.
IPS Innovative Prison Systems to facilitate the workshop “Counter Radicalisation through the Rule of Law”, in Lisbon, on December 12 and 14, 2018, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Portuguese practitioners working in the fields of law enforcement, corrections and ONGs delivering services in the community are invited to attend this free training event, which will be conducted at IPS Innovative Prison Systems facilities (Address: Av. Doutor Mário Moutinho, nº 33 A, 1400-136).
This event is part of the European DERAD and Training AID projects, which aim to contribute to the alignment of strategies to combat radicalisation and violent extremism through initiatives in the area of social reintegration and alternative measures to imprisonment.
The target audience consists of professionals working in the fields of Policing, Rehabilitation and Prison Services and ONGs that intervene in the community.
The main objective of the training activity is to promote awareness of the dynamics and behaviours inherent in the phenomenon of radicalisation, as well as prevention strategies in this area.
The workshop has a b-learning format, that is, face-to-face and online. The classroom training will last one day, 8 hours (December 12 and 14, 2018) whereas the online part consists of three modules requiring a computer and an internet connection to be undertaken. Both are delivered in Portuguese.
Participation in the event is free and includes materials and lunch.
