EUROProspects’ overarching objective is to promote a consolidated European approach to the implementation of FD 2008/947 by increasing the knowledge of authorities when faced with transfer procedures, upscaling the role of probation services in such procedures, and increasing communication and cooperation with their countries’ judicial authorities and between services from different EUMS.

Promote a rehabilitation-centred approach to FD 2008/947 transfer procedures.
Create sustainable and scalable awareness on the advantages of the use FD among probation officers and judicial authorities.
Practitioner-tested and oriented guidance materials, including a workbook for probation
officers with concise, accessible information on the use of the Framework Decision.
Factsheets on FD 2008/947 highlighting its advantages to encourage greater use, along
with a factsheet summarizing key conclusions from the field research analysis.
National and International Awareness-Raising and Experience-exchanging events such
as international workshops, national implementation discussions and a European knowledge coalition conference.
A podcast series “EUROTalks” featuring interviews with professionals exploring the
implementation challenges and solutions to promote a rehabilitation-centred approach to
FD 2008/947.
