The PARTES project aims to increase the protection of places of worship in European countries by developing a comprehensive, evidence-based, inclusive, and participatory prevention model.
To achieve this goal, the initiative will employ awareness-raising campaigns and implement training and workshop activities to improve cooperation between public authorities and faith-based communities.
PARTES will take stock, assess, and exchange best practices and tools in this field using a multi-disciplinary and participatory methodology. The project involves researchers and the end users (faith communities, particularly Jewish, Muslim and Christian).
Improve cooperation among religious communities and local authorities concerning the protection of places of worship.
Make a better assessment of security threats and better planning of protective measures through proactive prevention.
Exchange best practices on protective measures Europe-wide.
Assess and derive lessons learned on vulnerabilities and existing security concepts of the religious communities.
Raise awareness of the threat and strategies of extremist organisations targeting places of worship and involve them in prevention initiatives.
A mapping of the threat landscape (including cyber threats) for the religious communities involved in the project.
Training and workshop sessions with religious actors and local authorities.
New cooperation communication structures and channels between religious communities and local authorities.
Guidelines for proactive and preventive security measures.
